BioPure’s Nexus suppositories contain a base of pure 100% organic cocoa butter with two beneficial herbal extracts added: 1000 mg of BioPure’s exclusive organic freeze-dried garlic powder and 100 mg of BioPure’s Artemisinin powder.

Cocoa butter is a vegetable fat that comes from the fermented, roasted, and crushed seeds of the cocoa plant. This emollient is characterized by vitamins, minerals, and bioflavonoids, and has been used for hundreds of years to soothe and moisturize the skin and minimize stretch marks in pregnant women. Cocoa butter’s benefits stem from its antioxidant abilities, attributable to its flavonoid content (12-18%).

BioPure uses a food-grade cocoa butter that is 100% organic, undeodorized and unbleached. The minimal amount of processing that it undergoes preserves the highest antioxidant content possible for your health benefit. It also has a wonderful chocolaty aroma. Cocoa butter is solid at room temperature but melts easily in the body, and its antioxidant properties make it a highly stable emollient that is very resistant to rancidity. All of these properties make cocoa butter an excellent ingredient for its wide use today in skin creams, lotions, soaps, hair products, suppositories, and as a main component of well-loved chocolates.

Garlic has been used for centuries not only as a food spice but for its many other benefits. It contains a number of beneficial components including minerals, enzymes, selenium-based compounds and sulfur-containing molecules that give it natural cleansing and antioxidant properties. Allicin, one of the most abundant and thiosulfinate compounds in garlic, is formed and released only after the clove is crushed. Allicin has received credit for many of garlic’s beneficial antioxidant properties.

Each batch of BioPure garlic is grown without the use of bioengineering.  The small eco-farms that grow the product use sustainable, organic growing methods, but choose not to incur the high annual cost for organic certification. BioPure garlic is also Kosher-Pareve, per Orthodox Union, and free of common allergens [gluten, dairy, soy, peanut, tree nuts, seeds, eggs, fin and shell fish, corn, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphite, MSG, and lupine]. We do not use steam sterilization because the process degrades the important bioactivity of the garlic components. Instead, the garlic is carefully air-dried and tested for any potential microbes, as well as heavy metals. The allicin content can vary by harvest and field location, but only the highest quality cloves are used and they are rigorously tested for purity and potency.

Artemisinin, or Qinghaosu (pronounced: Ching-hao-su), is an extract from the plant Artemisia annua (sweet wormwood), or Qinghao (pronounced: Ching-hao). Artemisia annua emits a strong aroma, containing camphor and essential oils and exhibiting natural cleansing and antioxidant properties.

Artemisia annua is a robust plant that grows in many areas of the world. However, only plants grown in special agricultural and geographic conditions produce artemisinin. The Artemisinin sold by BioPure Healing Products is obtained from plants grown in the mountains near Chongqing in the Szechuan Province of China. At over 4,500 feet elevation, these special high-altitude and geographical conditions produce healthy plants with high yields of excellent quality Artemisinin.
